Again I apologize for my lack of posting. I’ve actually been gone for a month - away at training camp. You see, as I got more and more settled into my new home with my new pack, I started worrying it would all come to an abrupt end by some other dog moving in on my happiness. I started getting worried whenever dogs that weren’t in my pack came too close to me, so I told them to leave me alone by snapping at them. Mom and Dad and the other people in my life weren’t too happy with me snapping. I guess the dogs weren’t happy either.

I was a bad Sergei.
However, since I’m such a PERFECT dog in all other ways, Mom and Dad decided to find a place where I could get some socialization, to learn that it’s good to be around other dogs. And so I got to meet and live with LOTS of other dogs (big and little) for a whole month, and I got to play with them and find out I don’t need to be scared of them. I had a lot of fun, and my trainer, JR, says I’m a clown. I can’t imagine why he would say that…

Me, a clown?

No way!

No clowning around here…

Who’s a clown?
Okay, so maybe JR is right…and this is one clown who’s happy to be home and getting back to catching up on some of the stories I want to tell.

Happy to be home…

…back to my stuffies and my yard…

…back to my comfy couch…

…back to being adorable.
Anyway, on with my stories…
Right before I left for camp, a Greyhound named Goose came to visit our house with his mom and dad.

Goose - isn’t he cute?

Unlike the retired racing Greyhounds I live with, Goose was a show Greyhound when he was younger, but now he’s a pet. He’s really tall compared to my Greyhounds, but I guess they like big Greyhounds in the show world.
Like me, Goose likes the swimming pool. As soon as he got out into the yard, he got in the pool.

After he finished in the pool, Goose checked out the yard and got some love from his mom and dad.

Of course, I was there, too. But I had to stay away from Goose since I hadn’t learned to be nice to other dogs yet.

I still got some love, though:

Now that I know it’s good to be nice to other dogs, I hope Goose comes back to visit some day. And now that I’m back from camp, I should have time to post more (as long as Mom is available to type for me) so look for more pictures and stories soon!

Maybe there’s a story to tell over there…
