I thought about calling this post “The Queen and I” but my second weekend at the Renaissance Festival included some other new friends, too.

One of my new friends

She even let me use her feet as a pillow while she was petting BJ

Another new friend
Of course, I made a lot of other new friends besides those; it’s just that no one took pictures of them because they’re supposed to be talking to people about us hounds and not taking pictures. Silly excuse if you ask me.
I only got to go to the Festival one day (Saturday) out of the three Presidents’ Day weekend days, but Mom says that if I’m a good boy I can go both days this coming weekend. Yay! Or, as they say at the Festival, “Huzzah!”
Apparently the humans thought it was cold on Saturday because most of them were bundled up in lots of clothes. Personally, I thought it felt good. I think some of the other hounds thought it was cold, too, because they had jackets on, but not all of them.

Here’s Mom and me and Peaches. Peaches’ jacket is for
collecting donations, not because she was cold.
Dad took a few random pictures of me before the Queen came to pick me up to escort her around the Festival. Maybe he thought she wouldn’t bring me back so he had to get a few last “glamour shots.”

Of course the Queen finally arrived in the afternoon with her ladies, and we got to go on a nice long walk. Dad showed up near the end of our walk and took a bunch of pictures.

Here’s looking at you!

Ooh! What’s that smell? Turkey leg?

Yay! Escorting the Queen and making new friends.
What could be better?

Time to head back

A farewell kiss from Her Majesty

Can I have another kiss?
So there you have it, my one fun day at the Festival last weekend. Hopefully I’ll have lots of new pictures and stories to tell you about next weekend.
Until then,
–Sergei
