Actually, she played with me plus all the other hounds - except Peaches. But still, she did play with me. Of course, she was the one who started it. Maybe that’s the trick to getting her to play - wait until she makes the first move.
Here’s how it happened:
Jack and I had just returned from a walk with Mom. Whenever we get back from a walk, the first thing I do is go stand in the pool. It feels good on my paws, and it gives me plenty of water to drink. After getting out of the pool, I rolled around on the grass a bit with one of the rawhide bones, and then I settled in for some serious rawhide chewage.

And then I heard it…

BJ was play-barking at Jack!

Of course, Jack immediately accepted the challenge.

And then Cooper joined in.

I couldn’t stand it any longer; I leapt up to join them.

I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story about the fun we had. You might notice that I get wetter during the course of our playing. That’s because I run through the pool with each lap around the yard. One of my really big splashes attracted Raven’s attention and he joined us.

And there you have it - a fun romp in the yard with BJ. I hope a picture really is worth a thousand words - and that you enjoyed them - because I really don’t have much to say. I was having way too much fun to even think about what was happening.

Sergei, what fun! Dash wants to know if he can come over and play, too. Although he can’t read, he really appreciates the photos so today’s blog was his favorite.
