I’ve got a lot of toys to play with, but my absolute favorite (for now, anyway) is the green-and-yellow tug toy.
I discovered it at the bottom of one of the toy baskets a couple of weeks ago while I was taking out all the toys and testing each one to see how much fun they were.
Cooper, who doesn’t play very often, actually played tug-of-war with me and my favorite toy on the day I found it. We pulled and tugged and stretched the toy so much that it wouldn’t unstretch. Mom finally tied a knot in the middle to shorten it because I kept holding one end in my mouth and getting one of my front legs through the other loop, and she was worried I might hurt myself running up and down the stairs like that. Maybe she was right…
Anyway, I really like this toy. I always offer it to each of the Greyhounds to see if any of them want to play with it with me, but they usually just ignore me (when they play with toys, it’s usually by themselves). But that’s okay, because I can play with it by myself, too.
Tonight I offered my favorite toy to Dad to play with me. We had so much fun; I got to tug and jump, and tug and jump some more.
